CSA Pickup Site Host Program

Anyone that can reasonably satisfy the requirements listed here is encouraged to apply to be a pickup site host.

Distribution Challenges

A successful CSA program depends on solving the following challenges:

1. » Getting boxes to a convenient location
2. » Providing reasonable hours for delivery and pick up
3. » Keeping boxes frozen
4. » Accepting/providing feedback from/to members

We are looking for Site Hosts that can help solve these challenges for their location.

Site Requirements

Pickup locations will need to meet the following requirements:

1. » A cool, secure space available to store a large cold storage tote, or have alternative cold storage (e.g. freezer).
2. » A person who is available, responsible, and organized, with adequate knowledge of the program to facilitate FOLF deliveries, membership pick ups, and direct individual members needs.
3. » Access for Full of Life Farm to make delivery of packages prior to member pick up.
4. » Having access to ice/dry ice to keep the cold storage tote cool if necessary. (This cost can be collected from members individually, if necessary).

Compensation:

Our hosts will be compensated for their efforts by receiving a $50 discount (or credit) per delivery/pick up day on their CSA subscription. Discount may be paid by check or in the form of a refund on your CSA purchase transaction.

How the Site Host signup process works:

1. » You fill out and submit a Site Host Application
2. » We will evaluate your sign up form and reply with our intent to pursue your offer or not. If not, we will provide our reasoning. If yes, then we will proceed as follows.
3. » Clarify any specifics on the form
4. » Establish the rules and guidelines for your host pickup site:
1. Pick up times
2. Late pick ups
3. No shows
4. Member feedback
5. Compensation for ice
6. Etc.
5. » Listing your pickup site on our website, with relevant information, as an option for members to choose.
6. » Sign up new members
7. » Make first delivery, providing host with a list of members picking up along with any special circumstances or instructions.
8. » Continue month by month, bring in new members, meet new people, sharing experiences as we go.
