Healthier and more nutritious than organic commercial eggs

Our eggs come from healthy, free-roaming, pastured hens that forage on lush pastured greens and insects. You’ll find them much tastier than organic commercial eggs. And they have stronger shells, brighter-colored yolks, and more solid whites.

Our mobile henhouse (aka EggMobile) follows the cows from pasture to pasture. The hens scratch apart cow pies for their flies and bugs. This activity

• (a) keeps the chickens happy
• (b) sanitizes the pasture for the next cattle rotation
• (c) breaks down the cow manure for the soil
• (d) produces wonderfully delicious eggs as a by-product. And our chickens’ manure provides nitrogen for the soil, keeping the pastures green and healthy

Breeds: Heritage Buckeye.

Feed: Pasture grasses, weeds, and insects plus locally produced, certified organic, non-GMO, soy-free and corn-free feed.

Nutrition: Research shows that eggs from pasture-raised hens are more nutritious. They have more folic acid, vitamin B12, vitamin E, beta-carotene, and omega-3s than commercial eggs—and less cholesterol, total fat, saturated fat, and calories.
