Our Goats Are Raised On A Lush Diet Of Blackberries

Free to roam, they eat blackberry leaves, grasses, weeds and brush

Our goats help manage the pastures by eating weeds as they freely roam the pastures in small herds. Like all of our animals, the goats live outdoors with access to good shelter. They browse all day, feeding mostly on blackberries, but also on grasses, other weeds, leaves, and brush. The goats grow extremely healthy and strong on this ancestral diet alone.

Goat meat is extremely popular in most other countries. Its flavor is slightly sweet, like lamb, but mild like beef.

Breeds: Mostly crosses of Boer, Kiko and Nubian.

Feed: Our goats eat mostly blackberries, but also other varieties of weeds, brush, and grasses.  In winter we supplement with grass and alfalfa hay.

Nutrition: When compared to traditional U.S. meats, goat meat has lower levels of fat and sodium, and higher levels of iron, potassium, and thiamine.

How to buy: Our goat is packaged into meal-sized portions and frozen.  Goat can be purchased in bulk (whole goat with custom processing) or Sample Boxes, or individual cuts. Please watch our e-newsletter for availability.

No hormones or routine antibiotics – ever!
