Our cattle are raised on lush healthy pasture all of their lives
Most of the cattle we purchase are born on a neighbor’s farm and are raised according to our strict standards. We purchase young animals and then bring them here to mature, where they roam freely on healthy pastures until they reach harvest weight. We rotate the cows to fresh grass on a regular schedule. They graze it down to about 5” high, and leave manure that attracts flies and bugs. This prepares the pastures for the chickens that follow the cattle in rotation.

Breeds: Mostly Angus & Herefords
Feed: 100% grass-fed and grass-finished (supplemented in winter with grass and alfalfa hay). Our cows are never fed corn or grain of any kind, or any other agricultural or industrial by-products.
Nutrition: Compared to grain-fed beef, our beef has less fat, fewer calories, more conjugated linoleic acid (CLA), the “good fat”, and more folic acid, beta-carotene, and vitamins A and E. It also has a very healthy ratio of omega-3 to omega-6 essential fatty acids. Nutritionally, our beef resembles wild game, a primary ancestral food of all humans. This translates in to very healthy, nutrient-dense food for your family.
How to buy: Our beef comes frozen. Individual packages of cuts are available at any of our locations. Cuts include steaks, roasts, braise cuts (e.g. short ribs, stew meat, cross cut shanks, and brisket), ground beef, bones, organ meats, and more. Quarters, halves and wholes can be custom processed or finished as described above, and can be ordered online and delivered to your home.
