It’s Our Privilege To Be Stewards Of The Land
These principles are the foundation of our business and guide our farm management decisions.
Animals
We believe animals should be treated kindly, humanely, and ethically. They should have access to fresh air, clean water, green grass, and sunshine. We know that a healthy environment and gentle handling grows healthy animals – animals with little disease or need for medication.
Transparency
Transparency to us means openness, communication, and accountability. We believe you deserve to know exactly how your food is raised. We don’t have trade secrets or locked doors. You’ll get clear, honest answers to your questions or concerns. Feel free to contact us any time.
Community
You, our customers, form a community we’re honored to serve, and we’re deeply committed to you. It’s our privilege and duty to provide you with the highest-quality food and service.
Soil Health
We are, first and foremost, “guardians of the soil.” Soil health is our first concern because it’s the foundation of human health. Healthy soil results in healthy plants; healthy plants result in healthy animals; and healthy plants and animals result in healthy people.
We amend our soil only with natural substances (never chemicals) and manage grazing within natural limits. Our healthy pastures contain a diverse culture of grasses, legumes, clovers, and weeds, which allow our animals to thrive. This is “grass-based farming.” We believe it’s the right way to live and farm.
